The VP Approach, LLC was founded by Owner and CEO Valeta Prendergast (The Original VP) in July 2018. With nearly two decades of nonprofit experience under her belt, VP decided it was time to pursue her lifelong passion of being her own boss.

As a steadfast advocate for women and girls, VP became a leader in the grantmaking world by becoming a key member of the Executive Team on the Board of the LCU Fund for Women’s Education in 2014, after having volunteered with the New York Women’s Foundation conducting site visits and monitoring and evaluating existing grantees.

VP’s professional expertise consists of finance and budgeting; strategic planning and implementation; grant writing and management; contracts and procurement; and project management.
